Hello my name is Felicia and I am 52 years old. I am kind, caring and always happy to help others whenever I can. I am very approachable and always try to display an ‘open’ demeanour so that people around me feel comfortable to talk to me. I am honest, dependable and a good listener. I am enthusiastic and confident in my work ethic. If a problem arises when I’m at work I will do my best to solve it in a positive manner but I am also not afraid to admit when I need help and will gladly accept assistance. When I have made a mistake I will immediately admit to it and apologise and find a better way to go forward. I am open minded and treat everyone with dignity and respect. I enjoy helping others that is why I enjoy being a carer. It gives me great pleasure to see others happy and to make them smile. I trained as a counsellor so I like to sit and listen to people who needs talk to get things off their mind. I also trained as a nurse so I have a lot of clinical knowledge. Currently I work as a team leader assisting clients with all daily living skills as well as administering medication. Part of my remit is to book different appointments and transport and to liase with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best care for the client.
